New Spring feelings

On this moment, it is very nice weather, I like to be outside. But I know: there is much to do, to write, as you see and to share with many people. At first I want to set free the feelings of joy, being in touch with that special energy, wel call ‘flow’!

This energy is one of the most substantial energies I know about, for it helps anybody to get in touch again. In touch with your own energy and the energy outside of you, in the universe, among other people.

In our mandala drawing sessions we call this energy: ‘streaming energy’ and it is wonderfull to see how you can use it in your mandala drawings. I give you an example how I used it in my drawings. You can see if it suits you to. Feel free to use my example.

To make mandala’s by the ‘streaming technique’ you need to be able to ‘stream’. In Zentangles we call ‘streaming’ filling up the several parts of the mandala (circle) or the tangle (quadratic, square) with the same pattern. By ‘streaming mandala’s’ you can fill the whole circle with as many other patters as you want. It is also a quit other technique then drawing Zentangles.
The beauty of ‘Streaming mandala’s’ is that you can take every time and every moment to set up a mandala in the atmosphere of that moment. You can also draw a rose window and fill it out with patterns you like. To find your own patterns you can follow this idea:

look very much at nature outside and draw the patterns you see and find in a little booklet as a reminder
look at magazines as Happinez to get imspirated
look at my books, there are many examples of ‘streaming mandala’s’ (uitgeverij Akasha: http://www.uitgeverijakasha.nl )

I hope you will see very much in the nature: plants, flowers, leaves, they all will do for this purpose.

The Winterweek on spirituality and making our own cards to play the game, has been very succesfull.
We learned a lot about elements, seasons, hope, love and commmitment. Also about birth, dead and truth. My group enjoyed this week by drawing learning and playing the cards. This game is about symbols and enlightment.

There are many themes that helps to grow the game. During the week, some find his own theme, as Marsja found her theme: Music, she immediately draw her cards on that theme. Together we founded the theme: Love, Hope, Commitment. Before we called those cards: Birth, Dead and Trust. It is amazing how this game still is growing, every time that we repeat the themes.

We were with twelve students, some of them already made a game, but wanted to complete it. Some were making cards for the first time.
As we study together the meaning of the cards, we come to several very special outcomes. Every card that is made, gives his character free to who plays with it.

I want to show you some of our photographs, so that you can get an impression how it was, out there in the Dominicanen Klooster. We had a very good time together. Thanks to my students and the house that protected us.

Winterweek – Spirituality – in the Dominicanen Klooster at Huissen

In 2014 I will give a new Mandala Winterweek in the Dominicanen Klooster at Huissen. These week are every time again very amazing, for people get back there several time to contemplate, meditate and to draw their mandala’s, instead of gowing to the snow. I always facy these weeks, this year we will undertake the yourney into our own spirit and to see how we can draw card to play. These symbolic cards – we aslo name the Enlightning Cards – will be drawned on white or black paper. Because of their inspirated issues, we chose them each day, they can be used and played by yourself but also be played by a group, family feast or friends.

The way we play with the cards will be learned in the evening, so that one can play the inspiring game at home as easy as it was in the course. It is a pleasure to see the creative ways the participants chose to represent their special pictures. I know we will have a great week of joy and participation with all of us.

The end of the year of Responsibility 2013…

On nearly the end of the year 2013, in which we had to take responsibility to our life, we now aproach 2014, the year of spirituality. In this year it is very important to live in the light, to enlighten our lives. Spirituality is a beautiful feeling and gaol to go for. See the chances in your life, enjoy jour ideas, give them your blessing and be wondeed of what is coming to you.

The year 2014 seen out of the numerology scene, tells us that we have our doubts (2) and that we give those feelings space (0), but we are willing to go for new experiences (1) to live our life out of the heart. As we count those numbers together you get number 7, the number of spirituality, analytical abilities, grow your own reality and keep on to it. This tells you how to manage this year from the side of numerologic view.

The following possibility is to see how this fits with your year number. What is a year number? The year number is taken from your birthday numbers. As you perhaps know: you can count all the numbers of your birthday together and you will get your destination number. The destination number leads you to what you can reach in your life. Over several years there will be changes to bring you more and more to that specific quality. Your year number is taken from your birthday numbers. I will give you an example by telling you about my own birthday numbers: 7 – 7 – 1945 / counted together = 33 / simplified number 6. My destination is the quality of number 33 – as this number is called a Master number it has a special message to tell. It says: pick up your destiny and go for the world. Stand up for who you are and share your knowledge, your insights with all those who want to hear and to know. That is what I am doing now: sharing my knowledge with all of you! When you are not so familiar with the Numerology, you can count 3+3 together and receive the number 6, which quality is to take responsibility in your life. I also did this or many years, as I was not aware of my greater powerfull number 33!

Back to the Year number. You will get your yearnumber by counting the day of birth + the month of birth + the year we are living in. For me, it means: 7 + 7 + 2014 = 30 / 3 IN numerologic term we see number 0 as zero, space or emptiness. It give us space for doing things as we want them to do. For me it means in this coming year on my birthday, that I will get very very very creative in doing what I have to do. Because this date and this year will begin at my birthday, I now still stay in the quality of the year before: that is 7 + 7 + 2013 = 20 / 2 year (but also with space) and this says: you will have your doubts, but you will go for inner peace and harmony. When conflict arrive you will face them and let go afterwards, you will be able to step back when it is needed and step forward when it occurs to you to do so. Until july of this coming year I still have to consider this but I can prepare for the next inspiring yearnumber three, that will bring me into a stream of creativity. To know this happening, is to help fulfil my dreams!

So, if you yourself want to know how you can encounter the year 2014, write down your birthday in the past 2013 and the coming 2014 and count your numbers together. Find your year number and find the way and time to overcross the border. For all those people who want to share with me their numbers: send me your numbers and I will give you my answer on it. I will write the numbers from 1 to 9 – as used in the numerology – underneath with their sicnificance meaning to help you find your mission for this coming year.

Time for Insight – Time to rest – Time to enlighten yourself

In this month – November – it is time to go inside yourself. To get in touch with your inner self and to refresh and undertake some social participation with your family. In America and England we have now Thnksgiving to celebrate. For most people here in the Netherlands, we have much fun with “Sint Nicolaas” and we celebrate his birthday. Where it is all about, I think, is to have some days in your live that you concentrate on doing something very funny, loveable and social.

Working with mandala’s is the same way of sharing with yourself, your friends, your social surroundings, the most funny, loveable and sometimes also meditative themes of and issues in your live. If you send a mandala drawing (little ones) as a gift for Christmas, New Year or Birthday, you always give something quite personel. You are ‘touching’ people with your little gift, they are touched, in contact with you for a moment. And as your card can stand on a special place: they will still stay in touch with you during the time, that card stands on that place.

I suggest that we send such personel cards to persons in illness, as we want to give them a little bit of energy, as we want to share their sadness, as we want to stay in a sort of deeper contact. In my workshops, winterweeks and summerweeks, I always make cards to share lovely sayings, as they are senteces that inspires people for the day to come.

Learn to share, to give, it is not necessarely to make big gifts: little cards will do!

So for this moment I want to share with you something we try to set in the Netherlands: On the third Advent evening, we will put a Rainbowcard, that all of us made for ourselves, behind the window and we enlighten that picture, drawing, with a light.underneath. It seems to be a wonderfull idea to share with the world. As we do it all together, we will have and bring very much ‘enlightment’ in the world.
